Since 1999, the Markhaven Foundation has been the official fundraising partner of Markhaven Home for Seniors — lovingly known by many as “The Little Home with a Big Heart.”

Markhaven Home for Seniors — established in 1960 — has served the Markham community and surrounding areas for over six decades, offering compassionate, 24-hour long-term care, medical oversight, and a warm, supportive environment for our residents.

The Foundation exists to support and strengthen this mission. Through generous donations, fundraising events, and community partnerships, we enable enhancements to the quality of care, improved facilities, and a richer, more meaningful life for residents who call Markhaven “home.”

Whether through charitable gifts, volunteer efforts, or joining our fundraising events, every contribution helps to ensure that Markhaven remains a place of security, dignity, and belonging for seniors.
Our Mission
Markhaven Foundation is a registered charity focused on supporting the Markhaven Long Term Care Home in Markham. We aim to foster community engagement and raise funds through enriching events while increasing awareness about the needs and joys associated with long-term care.
