The Markhaven Foundation is the fundraising arm of Markhaven Home for Seniors. Established in 1999, the Foundation’s purpose is to raise funds to further the objectives of Markhaven Home for Seniors. Markhaven has been caring for the elderly in Markham and surrounding communities for over 50 years.
Autumn Fever Luncheon & Fashion Show

The Markhaven Foundation is honoured to be taking part in The Parent and Child Foundation’s fall fundraiser this year, with proceeds going to Markhaven and Giant Steps. The spectacular event is taking place on Wed., Nov. 9th and is fast approaching! Guests will have an opportunity to have lunch while enjoying an entertaining fashion show with fashions by Eleven Joseph, Jillian’s, Rena Artesa, Royal Fur Club, and 3D Art Design. There will be interesting and fun boutiques set up for shopping as well as a silent auction and raffle. A fun, exciting afternoon for all!

Women’s Committee of Markham Fall Fling 2015 – Thank You!
Congratulations to the Women’s Committee of Markham on a successful, sold-out Luncheon & Fashion Show 2015!
The event took place at Crystal Fountain on Oct. 21st. Over 500 attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch and spectacular Fashion Show, with fashions by Eleven Joseph, Jillian’s, and Elina Ten. There were various boutiques set up for some fun and interesting shopping, as well as a silent auction, raffle and door prizes. It was an exciting and entertaining afternoon!
The proceeds from this event are kindly being donated to Markhaven, Union Villa, and Participation House, Markham. The Women’s Committee of Markham generously continues to support our Home, as they have been doing for many years. Their hard work and generosity enable us to make significant improvements in many areas of our Home and directly improve the quality of life for our residents. We thank the Women’s Committee from the bottom of our hearts!
Women’s Committee of Markham Spring Fling 2015 – Thank You!
The Women’s Committee of Markham has done it again! Their annual Gardening on the Green Luncheon was held on May 13, 2015 and was a smashing success. Attendees enjoyed a Lunch and Learn afternoon with Sean James at Sleepy Hollow Country Club; it was entertaining and great fun for everyone.
All proceeds generously donated to Markhaven will be used to improve the garden areas of our Home.
The Women’s Committee has kindly raised and donated funds to Markhaven for many years, through their Spring Flings (Gardening on the Green events) and Fall Flings (Fashion Show Luncheons). We thank the Women’s Committee for their continued support and we recognize how lucky we are to be the recipients of their generosity. Most importantly, we appreciate the difference they make to the daily lives of our residents.
Markhaven would also like to thank the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who assist the Women’s Committee with their events. The community spirit and generosity shown by these groups is not only heartwarming but through the Women’s Committee, directly enhances the quality of life of our residents.

Gala for Giving 2015 – Thank You!
This was the Gala’s 3rd year and 12 organizations took part. Markhaven would like to thank Regional Councillor Nirmala Armstrong and Councillor Karen Rae along with their staff and co-workers at the City of Markham for their dedication and hard work in raising funds and putting this event together.
Markhaven was successful in raising funds that will be put towards providing the best care possible for our residents and for building improvements. We would like to thank all those who supported Markhaven through sponsorships, ticket purchases and donations. We appreciate your generosity and send you our heartfelt thanks!
